When should I buy a home?
In general, it is often best to buy as soon as you have the funds required for down payment and closing costs, and when you can comfortably afford the mortgage payment. The opportunity cost of having mortgage payments go towards home equity while also benefiting from long-term appreciation greatly outweighs the short-term savings of renting.
